Jingdezhen Ceramic Forget-Me-Not Ball — Cobalt Blue, 30+ Hand-Sculpted Porcelain Blooms
Thirty Tiny Flowers. One Perfect Ball.
The forget-me-not is the smallest flower we make — and the most labour-intensive. Each bloom is individually hand-sculpted in Jingdezhen porcelain: five rounded petals, pressed and shaped by hand, glazed in deep cobalt blue with a glossy finish that catches light like a polished stone, and centred with a single golden yellow ceramic dot. Then, one by one, 30+ of these tiny flowers are assembled onto wire stems and arranged into a dense, rounded ball — a cloud of blue that sits above its vase like a hydrangea, but made entirely of porcelain.
Photographed in close-up to show the extraordinary detail of each individual bloom — the slight variation in glaze depth, the natural irregularity of each hand-pressed petal, the way the cobalt shifts from deep navy at the centre to soft periwinkle at the edges.
