Jingdezhen White Porcelain 3D Lotus Relief Vase — Sculptural Lotus Grows from the Vase, 2 Styles
The Lotus Grows from the Vase Itself
This is not a vase with flowers placed inside it. The lotus grows from the vase — hand-sculpted directly onto the white porcelain body, emerging from a celadon green stem that winds around the belly, with a fully open bloom, a tightly furled bud, and a small lotus leaf all attached to the vase surface. Then, rising from the narrow neck on wire stems: one more open lotus, one lotus leaf, and one lotus seed pod — completing the story of a summer pond in full bloom.
Photographed in natural warm light on a dark wood surface, beside a Chinese lattice screen, and held in hand to show the extraordinary detail of each individual petal — hand-formed, hand-veined, glazed in blush pink with a golden yellow centre.
