This is the smallest piece in our collection — and possibly the most irresistible. A hand-painted Jingdezhen porcelain cat, caught mid-lounge with its tail raised and its paws stretched forward, sits atop a glossy flower-shaped ceramic base. At the centre of the base: a small brass pivot that allows the cat to spin a full 360° — so you can turn it to face you, or face the window, or face whoever just walked into the room.

Every whisker is hand-painted. Every stripe is hand-applied. The nose is a tiny red dot. The paws have three red toe-line marks each. It is, in every sense, a miniature work of art.
